Dos Latidos is a midwifery practice based in Sacramento, CA, offering compassionate, community-centered care that blends traditional practices, medicinal plants, and indigenous technologies. With a mission to serve marginalized families, Spanish-speakers, and those seeking non-hospital options, Dos Latidos provides a more spiritual and culturally connected birthing experience.

Despite their unique offerings and deep community roots, Dos Latidos faced challenges in communicating their holistic approach to a wider audience. They needed a brand identity that honored their ancestral knowledge while appealing to modern families seeking alternative birthing options. Additionally, their bilingual audience required messaging that could fluidly transition between Spanish and English without losing the emotional depth of their mission. 

Our collaboration began with an immersive discovery process to understand the values, history, and community impact of Dos Latidos. I conducted a workshop with the founder of the midwifery to get to the core of her motivations behind the brand. This heart of the brand, combined with in-depth market research, gave Dos Latidos a redefined, sophisticated visual identity that reflected their heritage while embracing a simpler color scheme and modern look.
